Masterclasses / Workshops
Alongside his many speaking and lecturing engagements around the world, Ross is regularly invited to lead Masterclasses and Workshops for students, professional performers and singing teachers, often combining the two.
A typical action-packed day consists of a group technical singing workshop in the morning, covering the basics of the anatomy of the singing voice, the voice qualities necessary for different styles of music, and includes music examples from the genres of classical, musical theatre, pop and rock music.
A Workshop is ideally followed by a Masterclass in the afternoon where participants are encouraged to present a song which Ross works on technically, culminating in some performance integration work on the same song.
Ross has already conducted Workshops and Masterclasses in Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Singapore, Borneo, Oslo, Zurich, Malta, Dublin, Cork, Belfast and throughout the UK.
He was also invited to introduce and demonstrate all aspects of the ABRSM Singing Syllabus to teachers and singers in key cities throughout the British Isles in 2009.
